Is just a short story. It was 1974. I was only 20, and lived in Northern Virginia, that is, a few miles west from Washington D.C. I love music. And Bob Seger was coming to town. I got my tickets....The Bayou, K Street, afternoon performance.
I missed seeing him a couple times. I was not going to miss this one.
I think...Maybe....6 or 7 other people showed for the performance. I sometimes wished I could ask Bob does he remember it...
Because a year later, this man exploded on the music scene. Big time.
And in that show? He and his band put on a show. I will always remember it, him, his band, and a great performance. Talk about going on with the show.
I still smile when thinking back. That man showed what he was made of. And I never stopped buying his music. He made a fan that day. Still am.
